Family Fun
Across the road from Cobbler’s Yard is the edge of Dundrum Inner Bay. At low tide sandy beaches and mud flats make wandering grounds for children and wildlife alike. Many happy hours can be spent exploring the shorefront or constructing your own tidal defences! Crab fishing and splashing about in the water come into their own as the tide comes in.

Towering above the village is the Norman Castle built by John de Courcey with guided tours and a paradise for hide and seek and picnics Dundrum Castle holds something for all the family.

Fishing
If an opportunity for some game fishing is what you want then Dundrum can deliver. Salmon and Sea Trout run up the Inner Bay to the Moneycarragh River , where the riverbank offers access to many fishing pools. The Shimna River in Newcastle also offers promising fishing in a lovely setting at the foot of the Mournes. Licences and permits can be purchased locally and add another dimension to your holiday.
